It was a celebration of four years of an uncommon grace yesterday at Qua Iboe Church, New Uyo Road, Abak, Abak Central Superintendency when members of the church rolled out their drums to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the church and launching of N10m project.
Tagged “What A Marvelous God”, taken from Psalm 40:5, the event which took place at the church premises, Opposite Nickgloso Filling Station, Ediene Abak, featured Revd. Dr. Okworo Martin Okworo AICMC, Revd. Eridiong Inyang, Pastor Owoh Brown, and Pastor Namnso George as ministers.
Delivering the anniversary message, the resident minister, Pastor Namnso George said that it has been “four years of spiritual strength, unstoppable progress, speed, glory, exceptional grace and divine mercy of God”
Pastor George further noted that the church has reason to celebrate God’s excessive love, thus, the reason we roll out drums to tell the world that for the past four years of God’s extraordinary and marvelous love.
A peep into the history of the church “The Journey So Far”, revealed that the church started on 9th July,2017 with an open air service organized by the then Superintendent of Abak Central Superintendency, Revd. Ime Essien. It had 163 people in attendant
The church has since then grown from leaps and bounds. From Deacon (now) Elder Pastor Namnso George as pioneer pastor, Deacon (now) Elder Engr. Aniekan Mba (finance), Mr (now) Deacon Ifiok Etukudo (Church Secretary), Mr (now) Deacon Mandu Udoidiong (Project Coordinator 11), and Mr Nkereuwem Titus (Project Coordinator 1).
It was learned that today, today, the church has good numbers of worshipers with main choir led by Bro. Ifiok Akpan as choir master, Hossana Voices led by Bro. Ekopakam Unanam as Coordinator, and Redemption Voices led by Sis. Ekemini Enamidem.
Some members of the the church who spoke with The Crest correspondent, expressed happiness that the church has come to stand as a solid place of worship.
