The Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Elders Forum, Abak Urban Ward 1 in Abak Local Government Area, Mr. Uwem Edet Obot has lamented the suffering PDP leaders are going through after supporting their party wholely during election.
In spite the suffering, Mr. Obot popularly called “Uwem Asian” expressed gratitude to God for giving the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state.
The Chairman, PDP Elders Forum, Abak Urban Ward 1 however lamented that after working hard to ensure the success of the party, the stakeholders are left with nothing to show.
“We are party stalwart, but we are handicapped. We are empty-handed, we are suffering under the large umbrella. Ilongo ke ilak ekamba ufok ejio elim asuk ibong”, he stated.
He commended the Governor for his initiative to form the Movement and hailed the choice of Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem who is also the National Legal Adviser of the Party as the Director General of the Movement in the state.
The PDP Chieftain commended the Executive Chairman of Abak, Rt. Hon. Pastor Ekerette Inyang for the warm reception accorded the Movement in Abak and for working tirelessly to ensure that Abak remains peaceful, describing him as a God-fearing Chairman and a man of peace.
Mr. Obot congratulated the Coordinator of the Movement in Abak, Hon. Elder Aniekan Umanah, Secretary, Rt. Hon. Pastor Ekerette Inyang and members of the Steering Committee on their successful inauguration.
He assured that as a stakeholder, he will continue to support the project by sensitizing the people of his area to embrace the movement as well as support the government of Pastor Ekerette Inyang and Udom Emmanuel’s Completion Agenda.
Mr. Obot commended Mrs. Ekemini Umoh, Rt. Hon. Pastor Ekerette Inyang, Hon. Elder Udeme Otong and Hon. Elder Aniekan Umanah for their good work and prayed God to continue to bless them.
